“This makes [it] the largest gathering of mainstream comic creators for any comic convention in the UK,” said the LSCC’s Mark Farmer.

Last year, for comparison, there were 50 featured creators. Among the big names lined up for fans at the 2013 LSCC are Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott, 2000AD artist Simon Davis and Swamp Thing artist Chris Weston.

Like in 2012, writers and artists will form panels to discuss their work and drop hints to budding comic creators on how to break into the industry.

The London Super Comic Convention takes place at the ExCel Centre on 23 and 24 February. Daily tickets cost £17.50, a weekend pass is £25.
