Victoria Beckham is “in talks” about opening her first standalone boutique on 36 Dover Street, in Mayfair, London.
The 39-year-old fashion designer is reportedly looking into the potential of choosing number 36 Dover Street in Mayfair, central London, as the prime location for the store as she wants to be close to the upmarket department store, Dover Street Market, the London Evening Standard newspaper reports.
The former Spice Girl isn’t the only designer eager to unveil her first standalone store in Mayfair as Roksanda Ilincic has reportedly signed a deal to open a shop on 9 Mount Street, London, while Christopher Kane is rumoured to be close to selecting a building in the wealthy area.
Victoria previously admitted she was impressed with the success of her fashion line and believes opening up a boutique in London will help expand her fashion empire even further.
She said: “[London] is where I want to have my first store. I’d like to do something that is really new, really fresh. Something a little bit conceptual but not too much.”
Victoria left her pop star career behind in the 1990s and entered the fashion industry in 2004, and she attempts to create designs which encourage women to feel confident.
She explained: “A lot of thought goes into everything I design to make a women feel the best that she can feel.”
