Magician and master thief Kaito Kid declares his intent to steal two swords that once belonged to Toshizo Hijikata. Tokyo Metropolitan Police Inspector Ginzo Nakamori hopes to capture his arch-nemesis in the act. Private detective Kogoro Mouri, brilliant young ward Conan Edogawa and high school detective Heiji Hattori are also on site and almost capture Kaito Kid but the trickster evades capture.
