Dear Frankie (12A)

In an effort to hide from her abusive ex-partner, single mother Lizzie tells her deaf nine-year-old son Frankie that his father works at sea, aboard a large freighter ship. To perpetuate the myth, Lizzie even writes fake letters. The plan hits a massive snag when the freighter ship docks in Glasgow. Frankie is delighted – he can finally meet the mystery father who has been writing to him for months. In desperation, Lizzie hires a handsome stranger to pose as Frankie’s errant father, with miraculously consequences.
