Shia LaBeouf has been injured in a car accident and arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Shia, 22, was involved in a collision at 3am on Sunday morning (27.07.08) in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
The actor was subsequently arrested and charged with a misdemeanour offence of driving under the influence (DUI), then released.
Sergeant Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles county Sheriff’s department, who arrested Shia, said: “He showed outward signs of intoxication. Officers at the scene determined that neither his passenger, nor the other driver, was seriously injured so the charge is a misdemeanour DUI.”
Shia suffered injuries to his head and knee and required “extensive surgery” to his hand. His passenger suffered minor injuries, as did the driver of the other car.
A statement from the star’s lawyers read: “Attorneys for Mr. LaBeouf confirm that an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred early morning in Los Angeles on 27 July 2008.
“Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month. No further comment will be issued at this time.”
This isn’t the first time Shia has been in trouble with police.
Last November, he was taken into custody after refusing to leave a US grocery store. He was believed to be drunk at the time. The charges were later dropped.
Earlier this year, he was caught by police illegally smoking in the men’s toilet of a museum.
