Renée, who met The Beatles legend at a party in New York’s The Hamptons over the summer and later enjoyed a candlelit dinner with him, revealed she is still in touch with Paul.
Speaking at the UK premiere of her latest film Bee Movie in London’s Leicester Square, Renée told BANG Showbiz: ‘I have not seen him since I have been in London. I hope we are still good friends and I don’t think I have done anything to offend him! I am so pleased he got a Grammy nomination.’
Renée – who braved stormy conditions to show off her slim line figure in a floor-length, strapless, polka-dot Carolina Herrera dress – blamed the wind and rain when she tripped while walking on the red carpet.
She said: ‘I’m soaking wet. I am like a sponge! My Caroline Herrera dress weighs about six stone.’
The Chicago star also said she will be spending time with her family in her home town of Katy, Texas, over the festive period.
She said: ‘I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. I am going to have a family Christmas.’
Oscar-winning actress Renee stars as a florist in the Dreamworks animated film, who strikes up a friendship with Jerry Seinfeld’s insect character, Barry B. Benson.
The film tells the story of Barry’s decision to sue humans after discovering honey is widely available from any shop shelf.
