Queen and the Royals announce world tour for 2012

Britain’s royals will travel the world next year to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee although the monarch and Prince Philip will remain in the UK.

Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine will undertake their second overseas tour with a trip to Malaysia, Singapore, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.

Prince Harry will tour Jamaica, Belize and The Bahamas for the Jubilee while his uncle Prince Edward and wife Sophie are set to travel to the other Caribbean realms.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall will spend time in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Charles will also go the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man

Meanwhile, Princess Anne will represent the monarchy in Mozambique and Zambia while Prince Andrew will go to India.

The Jubilee girl herself and Prince Philip will visit Wales on 26 and 27 April; South West England on 1 and 2 May; North London on 29 March; South London on 15 May, and North West England on 16 and 17 May.

They will also undertake a visit to Scotland in July before ending the tour in North East England on 18 and 19 July.

The Diamond Jubilee will mark 60 years of the queen’s reign.
