Naomi Campbell has no intention of becoming a single mother.

The British supermodel – who recently completed community service at a soup kitchen in Whitechapel district – is ready to start a family but will only become a mother if it is “in the traditional way”.

She said: “I don’t want to have a child on my own. I know you can but I don’t want to raise one the way I was raised. Look, my mother did an amazing job but I would like to try it in the traditional way. I have a traditional dream like every other girl.”

The 38-year-old star also claims her recent health scare was life-threatening.

Naomi – who had two benign tumours removed from her abdomen while in Brazil – added to the Daily Mirror: “Had I stayed with them in there for a further three months, they said my life would have been in danger. They didn’t tell me that until after my operation.”

Naomi is currently organising her latest Fashion for Relief catwalk show, which aims to raise money for the White Ribbon organisation, an international coalition attempting to stop 10,000 women dying during childbirth every week.
