The 38-year-old actor, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Camilla Alves, came up with the moniker for Jennifer after getting parenting advice from the mother-of one on the Boston set of their new film The
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.

A source said: “Matt says he just wants to be prepared and is excited about being a dad for the first time. He has been talking to Jennifer about it and he has nicknamed her ‘Supermom’ because she gives him such good advice.”

Matthew has also drawn comparisons between Jennifer – who has two-year-old daughter Violet with husband Ben Affleck – and Mary Poppins, a magical English nanny who appeared in a series of children’s books which were adapted into a Disney film in 1964.

The source added to OK! magazine: “He calls her ‘Mary Poppins’. He’ll ask for something, and she’ll look in her bag and magically have it. One day he asked for duct tape! She said she didn’t have it but does like to be prepared for anything.”

The actor recently revealed how excited he is about fatherhood.

He gushed: “Parenthood isn’t an exact science, but I’ve got the instincts for it. I’m looking forward to the big baby adventure. Hopefully I’ll make a good daddy. My child is going to have culture and travel, that’s one of the great benefits of my business.”
