The 44-year-old singer has announced dates at Earls Court on 24 and 25 August, calling the events The Final Two and billing them as his “last-ever UK arena shows”.
A statement on his official website read: “These very special shows will naturally feature Michael’s hits, some tracks not previously performed in Britain, and a stunning new stage set. These shows are truly not to be missed by any George Michael fan.”
The title is a reference to his last performance with Andrew Ridgeley as Wham! at Wembley Stadium in 1986, which was called The Final.
The concerts will bring to an end George’s 25 Live tour, which started in Barcelona in September 2006 and marked his first tour for 15 years. George will playing shows across North America from June to August prior to his London dates.
Since shooting to fame in the 80s, George has become one of the biggest pop stars of all time. He has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and his hits include Careless Whisper, Faith and Outside.
