The soccer star – who has previously admitted to suffering from the condition in the past – is said to be growing anxious about celebrating Christmas because his parents are divorced and do not get on.

His father Ted – who recently suffered a near-fatal heart attack – is also said to clash with David’s wife Victoria’s dad, Tony, so they are unable to
spend the festivities together.

A source told the Daily Mirror: ‘Christmas always makes David nervous and stressed because there are so many family conflicts and emotions flying about.

‘Ted refuses to be at Christmas lunch with David’s mother, Sandra, and it is always better if Victoria’s family and the Beckhams are kept apart, especially Ted and Tony. This makes his OCD a lot worse.’

David – who has three sons, Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, five, and two-year-old Cruz, with Victoria – is so affected by the disorder he can’t relax until everything is in order.

He recently demanded spotless upholstery and symmetrical crockery during a flight on his private jet.

The source added: ‘David likes his jet arranged so that everything looks neat and when a meal is served to him he insists there is a row of glasses of different sizes on the tray.

‘He spends time lining up the cutlery, crockery and salt and pepper before he will even begin eating.’
