The DJ – who, along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, survived the terrible accident which killed four people – travelled by bus from Augusta, Georgia, where he had been in hospital, to Los Angeles, for the funeral.

A source told Usmagazine.com: “Both Travis and DJ AM wanted to be back for the funeral. Travis won’t be able to walk for a while since his feet were burned badly.”

Meanwhile, DJ AM – real name Adam Goldstein – has a new found appreciation for life, and changed his status on social networking website Facebook to “Adam Goldstein is the luckiest guy alive”.

Upon his release from hospital, Adam’s publicist released a statement which read: “Adam is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends worldwide. We ask that you continue respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.”
