The 39-year-old singer – who was given the all-clear from the disease early last year after having a partial mastectomy and a course of chemotherapy – is slowly piecing her life back together after beating the potentially fatal illness.
She said: “When you are stripped of everything, and you have to grow your eyelashes back and grow your hair back, it’s astonishing.
“It’s hard to express what I’ve learnt from that, but a deep psychological and emotional shift has definitely taken place in my life.”
Kylie also revealed she is still coming to terms with the difference in her body shape caused by the cancer and grueling treatment.
She added in an interview with Glamour magazine: “As far as body image goes, I’ve shrunk to nothing, I’ve ballooned – my body is not what it used to be, but it’s the body I’m in.”
Kylie – who is set to release her first album in four years, X, in November – also said she has made a conscious decision to make her lifestyle healthier.
She explained: “I’ve decided that from now on, I’d like to do working days. Like nine-to-five hours, no more working from 5am til 2am. Those are the main changes I’ve tried to make, because I can be my own worst enemy.
“I want to keep on finding my perfect harmony within my life and my work. And a family, yeah, that’s something I’d love.”
Kylie has also quashed rumours she has reunited with ex-lover Olivier Martinez, insisting he has moved on.
She said: “I think he has a girlfriend, but I’m not entirely sure.”
