The Michael Clayton actor, who is known for championing good causes, would love to teach certain famous people some humility.
Clooney told Hello: “Maybe I should open a school for the famous. I won’t mention names, but there are certain actors who make me think, ‘How on Earth do you take yourself so seriously?’ All that is just cinema. Too many pats on the back, too much frivolity, in the end it’s all a bit toxic.”
The 46-year-old star became determined to get involved in good causes to prove to people he is more than just an actor.
Clooney said: “I have to do other things. It seemed to really annoy a lot of the people when I went to speak to the Security Council at the United Nations. I could see in their eyes that they were saying to themselves,
‘What is he doing here?’
“But it’s good, now and then, to mix with people who give you some perspective on things.”
