Paul Carrack

Soft rock from the singer-songwriter.

Soft rock with elements of blue-eyed soul comes from the Sheffield-born singer-songwriter and one-time member of Squeeze, Roxy Music and Ace.

With his golden voice and gentle guitar-playing, Sheffield-born singer-songwriter Paul Carrack has enjoyed phenomenal success across nearly four decades as a solo artist and as part of the bands Roxy Music, Squeeze and Mike + The Mechanics. Soft rock with elements of blue-eyed soul feature in hit singles The Living Years, Over My Shoulder and Don't Shed A Tear.

The former vocalist of Mike and The Mechanics and the voice behind world-wide hits such as 'How Long' by Ace, Squeeze's 'Tempted' and, of course, the timeless classic 'The Living Years', Carrack is now firmly established as a solo performer. Initially finding fame with Ace and Roxy Music, he has gone on to enjoy a successful career that spans 40 years, including guest appearances on over 60 albums, as well as writing for The Eagles, Diana Ross, Tom Jones, Michael McDonald and Jools Holland among others. Over the past decade or so Paul has worked increasingly in his own right on many solo albums; Satisfy My Soul (2000), Groovin' (2001), It Ain't Over (2003), Winter Wonderland (2005), Old, New, Borrowed and Blue (2007), I Know That Name (2008), A Different Hat with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (2010) and the album Good Feeling which came out in September 2012.
