Chelsy Davy was originally snubbed when invites to Peter Phillips’ May wedding were handed out, following reports her relationship with the prince was going through a rough patch.
But last week, Chelsy was issued an official invitation to the nuptials of Princess Anne’s son, following her reunion with Harry after he returned from active duty in Afghanistan.
A close friend of the Zimbabwe-born blonde said: “Chelsy received the invite last week but she has yet to reply. At the moment, her focus is her work. This is a tough term and she’s studying very hard.”
Chelsy has reportedly been upset that Prince William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton has been accepted by the royal family while she has been left in the background.
The friend added: “She was really put out not to have been invited, not least because Kate got an invite. Chelsy doesn’t particularly like hanging out with the young royal crowd – she far prefers relaxing with her friends – but she doesn’t like to be forgotten about.”
Chelsy – who is currently studying at Leeds University – reportedly split with Harry last year, complaining he needed to make more effort with their relationship.
But the pair have patched up their differences and are now said to be stronger than ever.
