MICHAEL JACKSON’S concert movie, This Is It, is to be premiered at the Odeon Leicester Square in October, it was announced today.

The flagship cinema won’t be alone, as the film of the show that wasn’t will be screened at many other picture palaces around the world, 15 of them showing the movie at the same time.
“Michael Jackson has an army of fans everywhere around the world,” said Jeff Blake, of Sony Pictures, the film’s distributors.
“By rolling out this film simultaneously worldwide, we are giving audiences an incredible opportunity to join together in celebration of Michael Jackson’s incredible career.”
There are plans for a red carpet gala at the various venues, with beam-back pictures from Los Angeles of the main star-studded party which comes ahead of the film’s screening.
Then, on 27 October, at 9.00pm LA time, 4.00pm on Leicester Square, the film itself is due to start.
