The comedian seems to be obsessed with “air sex”, a Japanese craze in which men simulate their dirty deeds with an imaginary partner. Some of it gets a bit over-the-top, especially at the competitions. Yes, competitions.
Kazuko Burt, a yoga teacher and friend of the comic, reportedly introduced Randy Russ to his new hobby. Kazuko told the Daily Star: “Russell’s been watching YouTube clips of air sex competitions, in which contestants perform the act to music, like air guitar for perverts. And he has been practicing with a variety of invisible partners to music by The Smiths.
“We told him about the World Air Sex Championships in Tokyo and he thought it was a delightful idea.”
Before Russell enters the ring, he wants a proper lesson. Kazuko continued: “Russell is desperate to meet the activity’s creator, J-Taro Sugisako, and the reigning world champion, who goes by the name Cobra.
“And he’s fascinated by the fact that J-Taro invented it because he couldn’t get a girlfriend. This is all great material for his stand-up shows.”
And potentially great material for real-life ladies. The comedian recently confessed he’s chasing US tennis pro Serena Williams after being “mesmerised by her strong thighs”, and he’s been spotted in New York with dancer Sydney Jackson.
