During the spring of 1968, American student Matthew immerses himself in the works of Renoir, Truffaut and Godard screening at the Cinematheque Francaise in Paris. There, he meets Isabelle and her brother Theo. When their parents go away on holiday, Isabelle and Theo invite Matthew to stay and keep them company. Within the confines of the apartment, the trio experiment with each other’s emotions and sexuality, engaging in a series of increasingly demanding mind games.
