The Sopranos star proposed to his former model girlfriend Deborah Lin during a romantic Christmas break in the Bahamas, and a thrilled Lin said ‘yes’.
The 46-year-old actor’s manager Mark Armstrong said: “I am happy to announce James and his girlfriend Deborah Lin recently got engaged during the holidays.”
A source close to the couple said: “They’re absolutely thrilled and really looking forward to cementing their love by getting married.
“They have been together for two years and they both felt ready to take the next step.”
Gandolfini divorced his first wife Marcella Wudarski – with who he has a son Michael, eight – in 2002 after almost four years of marriage. In 2004, he got engaged to Lora Somoza, a production assistant on his 2001 film The Mexican, but they eventually separated in 2005.
