JAMELIA, Jarvis Cocker, The Kooks and Fat Boy Slim are just some of the big names set to turn out over the next four days at the Oxfam shop in Dalston, as part of the annual Oxjam charity-music event.

Billed as ‘the UK’s biggest ever music festival’ Oxjam includes thousands of mostly small scale gigs across the country over the next month in a bid to raise campaigning issues and cash.

Of the Dalston gig, Cocker said: “I’ve been a regular visitor to this Oxfam shop myself in the past, so I’ve decided to play a set using records I’ve bought at charity shops over the years.”

Given the size of the venue, the audience has been limited to 100 competition winners for the Dalston events, but there are many more to go and see.
