It has been illegal to catch totoaba marine fish since 1975 but the species is a high prized delicacy in China. Traffickers join forces with Mexican drug cartels to poach the remaining totoaba in the Sea of Cortez, using crude methods which threaten the elusive and endangered vaquita porpoise. This documentary follows an undercover mission coordinated by conservationists, scientists, investigative journalists and the Mexican Navy to protect the last remaining vaquitas.
