Sea Without Shore

In rural 19th century Sweden, two women enjoy a passionate relationship against the backdrop of the remote forest landscape. This amorous dalliance is abruptly cut short and the surviving lover, in her emotional turmoil, ventures into the depths of the forest in search of something to salve her pain. Her journey of self-discovery unfolds as a poetic, stream of consciousness, with occasional words penned by 16th century lesbian poet Katherine Philips and 19th century wordsmiths Renee Vivien and Algernon Charles Swinburne.
