A documentary about the rise and fall of the band Dr Feelgood, charting the ascent of the group in the mid ’70s, and the disarray in spring 1977 when guitarist Wilco Johnson quit the band. The film melds archive material, interviews, photographs and animated sequences, laying bare the creative differences and shattered dreams of men who emerged from Canvey Island and almost achieved greatness.
