Twentysomething pals Don and Ray (Ed Hayter) harbour grand ambitions of being musicians in America. When they are evicted from their flat in South London, the lads decide to sell their collection of vinyls to fund a move across the Atlantic. They pack everything into their old Volvo Amazon including a stolen Black Metal record. En route, Don and Ray meet Susie, who accompanies them on their madcap cross-country odyssey.
