Sharon Osbourne’s constant cursing on The X Factor has left show bosses concerned she might let slip some swear words during the live shows.

The 60-year-old star – who has returned to the judging panel for this year’s series after quitting in 2007 – has been told to tone down her explicit language after several pre-recorded audition scenes had to be cut.

A source said: “Sharon has been on fine form. But so much has to be edited out as she keeps cursing on camera.

“Sometimes she becomes so involved she forgets to censor her language and swear words just pour out.”

Show bosses are now said to be concerned Osbourne – who sits alongside Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh on the panel – might let slip some swear words during the programme’s live shows.

The source added to The Sun: “It could cause real problems when we get round to the live shows.”

Earlier this month, the flame-haired star clashed with X Factor wannabe Jonnie Rocco, 73, who reported her for assault after she launched a pen at him.

Rocco incurred Sharon’s wrath after he made a jibe about her husband Ozzy Osbourne, which provoked Sharon to launch into an angry tirade, during which she threw the stationery at his shoulder.

She said: “Don’t you talk about my f***ing husband. Get him out of my f***ing room.”

Rocco later claimed the pen “could have knocked my eye out” and reported the incident.

Greater Manchester Police said they would take no further action, but confirmed they would write to X Factor bosses to “remind them of the need to conduct themselves in a professional manner”.
