Rare photographs of the monarch and other royalty including Queen Victoria will be in the book, published by the Royal Collection Trust, and there’s even a snap of the Queen at just five weeks old.

Other pictures show the 87-year-old royal riding her first pony, a Shetland named Peggy, when she was just four-years-old. The horse was given to her as a gift by her grandfather and in the photo, the Queen can be seen perched atop her steed while her father – King George VI, who was then known as the Duke of York – supports her.

In another picture, a young Queen Elizabeth can be seen hand-in-hand with her mother, the then-Duchess of York, and her grandmother Queen Mary as they enjoy a stroll at royal residence Balmoral in Scotland.

The family photos were taken by the monarch’s parents and will be published in Royal Baby Book: A Souvenir Album, which will chronicle royal children from Queen Victoria to Prince George.
