BORIS JOHNSON has been accused of bashing to death a political rival with a candlestick in the House of Commons.

The London Mayor is one of the suspects in a new London version of classic box-game Cluedo, launched at lunch time today outside parliament by a Boris lookalike on a bike.

“The public has been asking us for some time to do regionalised Cluedo,” said Tom Liddell chairman of Winning Moves, the company licensed to sell the Cluedo’s London edition.

“And with the 2012 buzz around London, we are now delighted to oblige. We have very exciting plans to roll out other regional Cluedos across the UK and Ireland too.”

For today’s launch, actor-detectives were sent around central London to hand out clues to the House of Commons murder and commuters were greeted with the words “Was it the Mayor?” outside major railway stations.

London’s Cluedo fans face a dilemma when it comes to Christmas presents, though, as last week a Sherlock Holmes edition of the game was released, based on the recent BBC TV series.
