“What I plan to do is record [the song] and put it here on Twitter sometime in the next week,” said the pop legend.

“I’ll grab my piano player and bob’s your uncle. A wedding pressie for them.”

“I’m not angling for an invite!” Michael added to his Twitter followers.

“It’ll be a camera-fest! I’m incredibly happy for them but can u imagine! Anyway they should [be] surrounded by people they love, not dodgy ex-con pop stars!”

Michael has asked his Twitter fans to come up with song ideas, but doesn’t want the “pressie” to be one of his own tracks as “they are a bit too sad”.

Michael also revealed that he owes William a song after refusing to perform for the Prince many years ago.

“I only ever met him twice, but he was such a nice kid,” said Michael, well-known as a friend of William’s mum, the late Princess Diana.

“Actually he asked me to sing!!! He was only eight! Lol And maybe Uncle Elton will play the piano?’

“It was a Xmas party at Kensington Palace, and believe it or not I’m too shy to sing to small numbers of people, so I said no.

“It was excruciating, his little Xmas smile disappeared, but the only people I knew in the room were Diana and Elton!

So I bloody said no to the future king of my country…oh the shame…..:)”

“I’ll do the vocals at home… Come on boyz n girls…what song should it be? Oh and it can’t be one of mine, they are all a bit too sad….no sniggering and agreeing, you at the back!”
