But it’s not all traditional Spanish fayre and flair.

This year’s event focuses on Spanish sporting achievement down the years and adds the interactive element with an F1 pit stop challenge, Wii tennis, a basketball court, golf simulators and, of course, with Spain among the favourites for this month’s World Cup, football activities.

On top of that, contemporary music gets a spot in the form of Spanish indie artist Annie B Sweet, there’s energetic dance/theatre from Ibiza party crowd Foc i Fum and it looks like the Iberian sun has been handed an invite, as well.

A Taste of Spain is on Sunday 6 June from 12 noon until 7pm, during which time Regent Street will be closed to traffic.
