The Goob (18)

Sixteen-year-old Goob Taylor helps his mother Janet to run a transport cafe with waitress Mary and to harvest a rich crop from the pumpkin fields using the annual influx of temporary labourers. Goob used to be the man of the house but that role is now filled by Gene Womack, a stock car racer and ladies’ man, who doesn’t tolerate anyone defying his rules. Goob and Gene clash on numerous occasions and the teenager is punished for his insolence.
