Edmond Dantes is falsely imprisoned in the legendary island prison Chateau D’If for supposedly carrying a message from Napoleon. More than two decades later, Edmond escapes from his prison cell and reinvents himself as the Count of Monte Cristo. Gifted with a new identity and a new life, the Count sets about wreaking revenge on the traitors who consigned him to his time behind bars.
