Hard-working family man JP Lindel has always been close to his older brother Mikey. When JP receives a ransom demand for Mikey, he takes the threat seriously, but everyone close to him is convinced that it is a scam dreamt up by Mikey and his surrogate father, crime boss Eddie King. Even police detective Sal and his partner Gus seem convinced that JP is being taken for a ride – a note of caution echoed by Mikey’s ex-wife Vicki and their teenage daughter Alexis.
