Following the death of their father, seven sons – the product of two different marriages – find themselves at war. Son, Kid and Boy, the dim-witted runts of the Hayes litter, struggle to make ends meet unlike the other four children, Cleaman, Mark, Stephen and John. An unsavoury incident at the old man’s burial ignites tensions between the two sides of the clan, with tragic repercussions.
