Zelis and Zarok have known each other since childhood but fate propelled them on very different paths. Many years later, Zelis is poised to delight her father Hakki by marrying Cemal, the son of Hakki’s good friend Selim. Her preparations are interrupted when she discovers Zarok hiding in her bedroom. He is now a thief on the run from the authorities and needs to lie low. By virtue of a curious Z-shaped birthmark on her chest, Zelis feels a strong connection to Zarok and she flees with him.
