RSC Live Encore Screening: Macbeth

Christopher Eccleston makes his RSC debut opposite Niamh Cusack as his duplicitous wife in director Polly Findlay’s contemporary staging of Shakespeare’s bloodthirsty tragedy, which was recorded live on the stage of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. Macbeth returns from war to the heaving bosom of Lady Macbeth. He repeats the proclamation of three witches, who have predicted that Macbeth will become King of Scotland.
