Royal Ballet Live Encore Screening: The Nutcracker

A live recording of Peter Wright’s classic festive production set to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, performed on the stage of the Royal Opera House in London under the baton of conductor Barry Wordsworth. Loosely based on a story by E T A Hoffmann, The Nutcracker opens with a lively party on Christmas Eve. Once the festivities have ended, young Clara creeps downstairs to play with her favourite present – a Nutcracker doll.
