Race (PG)

In 1936, Jesse Owens bids farewell to his fiancee Ruth and their child to study at Ohio State where his impressive performances on the track catch the eye of coach Larry Snyder. The Olympic Games beckon and the U.S. Olympic Committee eventually decides to participate. The U.S. team travels by ocean liner to the Games where Joseph Goebbels intends to deliver a spectacle of German superiority to the Fuhrer with the help of filmmaker Leni Riefelstahl. However, Jesse outjumps and outruns the competition.
