Ferdinand has married a fabulously rich, older Italian woman but the relationship bores the playboy and he seeks adventure and excitement. Ferdinand gets just that when the new babysitter turns out to be sexy old flame Marianne, whose life is anything but stable. In the wake of a party, Ferdinand and Marianne are thrown together only to discover a dead man in her apartment. Realising they will be prime suspects for a crime they did not commit, the former lovebirds go on the run to the south of France where their odyssey takes a strange turn.
