Miss Julie (12A)

Miss Julie is the daughter of a wealthy aristocrat in late 19th century Ireland. It is Midsummer’s night and free spirit Miss Julie prowls the corridors of her home, smarting from the recent departure of her fiance. She engages in a flirtatious battle of wills with manservant John, who wishes to rise above his station as quickly as possible. He is engaged to the house’s cook, Kathleen. The power struggle between Miss Julie and John plays out as a series of bruising verbal exchanges.
