Looking For Light: Jane Bown

For 65 years, photographer Jane Bown has worked for the Observer, filling the pages of the newspaper with striking images of enigmatic subjects including The Queen, John Lennon, Orson Welles and screen siren Jayne Mansfield. Unlike many of her contemporaries, Bown continues to use basic equipment and relies on available light. This documentary pays tribute to her unrivalled career behind the lens, juxtaposing striking examples of Bown’s work with interview footage.
