War has been declared amidst the lovingly tended petunias and the organic vegetables of England's green and pleasant land. On one side stands former policeman Big John, the chairman of Blacktree Road allotments, who upholds the draconian rules of the constitution with his green-fingered chums. On the other side stand Iranian doctor Ali and refugees Kung Sang and Miriam, who have been gifted allotments as part of a government-sponsored, gardening therapy program.
