Jake Connolly is struggling to make a decent living from his DJ sets. His benefits could be stopped and his girlfriend is pregnant, at the very same time that his mother Angela could be turfed out of her home. Jake and his buddies decide to strike back against the system by thieving and selling drugs. Their ill-conceived efforts bring them into conflict with the local kingpin, Derra Murphy, who won’t tolerate newcomers operating on his turf.
