Pernilla lives in New York, where she has a boyfriend and explores the boundaries of her sexual desire. The suicide of a former conquest compels Pernilla to abandon the Big Apple, at the behest of her imaginary friend Buttercup Bill, and return to her home in the Deep South to be reunited with old pal Patrick. Sparks of attraction reignite dormant desires and Pernilla and Patrick engage in dark and twisted sexual games that test the boundaries of their relationship to the limit.
