This compilation, drawn from the BFI National Archive, recreates a selection of short items with musical accompaniment that audiences of the time might have enjoyed including a humorous piece about a face-pulling competition, an episode of The Perils Of Pauline featuring Pearl White in the title role, rousing scenes of Allied troops celebrating Christmas at the Front and some very early footage of big-screen icon Charlie Chaplin.
