The Crying Lightning hitmakers will compete for four trophies at this year’s ceremony, including Best Track for Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair, Best Album for Suck It and See, Greatest Act in the World Today – which sees them up against Coldplay, Kasabian, U2, Muse and Arcade Fire – and Greatest Act of the Last 25 Years, a special prize created to mark the magazine’s 25th anniversary.

Jessie J and Adele both scored three nominations each, with both acts up for Best Female artist alongside PJ Harvey, Beyonce Knowles and Laura Marling.

Jessie is also nominated for Best Video for Do It Like A Dude, and Breakthrough Artist, while Adele received two nods in the Best Track category, for her singles Someone Like You and Rolling In The Deep.
